On the morning of December 7, 2020, China Datang Group Co., Ltd. held a meeting of middle-level and above managers. At the meeting, the responsible comrades of the Central Organization Department conveyed the decision of the Central Committee on the chairman and party secretary of Datang Group Co., Ltd.: Comrade Zou Lei served as chairman and party secretary of China Datang Group Co., Ltd. and removed China Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd. Chairman and Party Secretary; Comrade Chen Feihu was removed from the position of Chairman and Party Secretary of China Datang Group Co., Ltd., with another appointment. The appointment and removal of the above-mentioned positions shall be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

As a result, Zou Lei became the fifth "top leader" since the establishment of Datang Group.

Zou Lei, male, Han nationality, born in June 1966, started working in August 1988, joined the Communist Party of China in July 1986, master's degree, senior economist.

In September 2007, he served as the chairman, general manager and deputy secretary of the party committee of Harbin Boiler Plant Co., Ltd. of Harbin Power Plant Equipment Group Company.

In January 2009, he served as the general manager of Harbin Electric Group Company.

In February 2015, he served as Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of Harbin Electric Group Company.

On May 25, 2016, Comrade Zou Lei served as the chairman and party secretary of China Dongfang Electric Group Co., Ltd., and was removed from the position of chairman and party secretary of Harbin Electric Group.
