On the afternoon of December 30, 2020, several excavators broke ground in the Mubailing Tunnel in Luojia Village, Pujiang County, marking the official start of the second phase of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway Project (Hangzhou-Yiwu Section). It is understood that the first phase of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed rail project (Yiwu-Wenzhou section) has been fully started before.
Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway Phase I Project
The first phase of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed rail project started in 2017 is the Yiwu-Wenzhou section, with a total length of 218.26 kilometers and a target speed of 350 kilometers per hour. Among them, the Dongyang section is 41 kilometers long, passing through Huashui Town, Nanshi Street, Chengdong Street, Hengdian Town, Huxi Town, Mazhai Town, and Dongyang Hengdian Station is set near Huaitang Village. The total project investment is about 7.2 billion yuan. .
According to the relevant person in charge of the third work zone of the Dongyang section of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway, the construction node is the Hengdian viaduct super bridge, which spans 217 provincial highways and has a total length of 2015 meters. The construction of bored piles, caps and piers is currently underway. The node is expected to be completed in August 2022.
According to reports, the Dongyang section of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway is divided into four work areas, all of which have started. The project has a total of 21 bridges and culverts, of which 9 are currently under construction; 2,441 bored piles have been designed, and 902 have been completed; 353 caps have been designed, 65 have been completed; 353 piers and abutments have been designed, 12 have been completed in total; 12 tunnels have been designed, At present, 8 buildings have started, and the excavation and support has been completed with 686.99 meters; there are 21 sections of roadbed sections and 10 sections have been started, of which 2,336,300 cubic meters of earth and stone have been designed and 980,000 cubic meters have been completed.
Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-speed Railway Phase II Project
It is reported that the second phase of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway will lead from Tonglu East Station to the southeast through Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Pujiang County, Jinhua City, and Yiwu City. There are two stations in Tonglu East and Pujiang, with a total investment of 9.48 billion yuan and a construction period of three and a half years.
The Hangzhou-Wenzhou high-speed railway starts from the west of Hangzhou and ends in the south of Wenzhou. It is one of the key projects in the national medium- and long-term railway network planning and Zhejiang Province's medium- and long-term railway network planning. After the completion of the project, Pujiang, Dongyang, and Pan'an will end the history of not connecting high-speed rail, and Jinhua will also sound the clarion call for connecting high-speed rail between counties and counties.
