On January 18, 2021, the first 900-ton box girder of the Chengdu-Zigong high-speed railway was successfully erected at the Huangjiagou Bridge of the Chengdu-Zigong high-speed railway project. This marks the new transition from offline construction to offline construction of the Chengdu-Zigong high-speed railway. Phase, construction is accelerated in an all-round way.

It is understood that the Chengzi high-speed railway has a total length of 176 kilometers. The main line starts from Chengdu East Station in the north, passes through Chengdu Tianfu Station, Ziyang West, Qiuxi, Weiyuan, and ends at Zigong East Station on the Southern Sichuan Intercity Railway. Yi Section constitutes Sichuan's first high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
According to Zhang Zongwei, the commander of Chengziyi Headquarters of Chenglan Railway Company, Chengzi high-speed rail is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming high-speed rail network of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network. The Chengdu-Kunming high-speed railway from Chengdu to Kunming is also connected to the Guizhou Railway in Yibin, forming a high-speed railway passage from Chengdu to the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area via Guiyang. The entire line is expected to be opened by the end of 2023.

Sun Yongjun, executive deputy commander of the China Railway 15th Bureau, the project construction party, pointed out that the project implements parallel operation, segmented flow operation and 24-hour uninterrupted operation to ensure the smooth completion of the first aircraft.
