A few days ago, the Chengdu Natural History Museum project undertaken by China Railway Construction Engineering Group has ushered in the latest progress. The main structure and interior and exterior decoration have all been completed and have reached the conditions for trial operation. The construction of the project has achieved phased success. The largest geoscience museum in western China is about to be reborn!
Chengdu Natural History Museum is located on Chenghua Avenue, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, with a total construction area of more than 50,000 square meters, with one underground floor and four floors above ground. The monomers are connected by the pedestrian plank road and the overpass promenade, and the winding and winding has the artistic conception of Shu Road.
In order to create the craggy effect of Shushan, the project adopts a double-layered curtain wall. The total area of the outer curtain wall is 48,900 square meters. There are more than 70 folded surfaces at different angles. For the remaining ones, the structure is extremely complex and the installation is extremely difficult. The project team has established a technical team for external curtain wall research, and has measured and laid out about 36,000 sorties in total, forming a solid model model of support, keel, and stone panel that integrates site coordinates.
After the completion of Chengdu Natural History Museum, it will serve as a new cultural landmark in Chengdu, filling the gap of comprehensive natural museums in southwest China. All the builders of China Railway Construction Engineering Group have made preparations for the final sprint and will surely create high-standard and high-quality large-scale public buildings !Editor/Ma Xue
