The Panxi 1000 kV High Voltage AC Project has officially started construction in Sichuan. As a key project of the Southwest Hub Power Grid, the project is planned to be completed and put into operation by 2028.
The Panxi area covers Panzhihua and Liangshan Prefecture, and is an important clean energy base and core transmission area for West East power transmission in Southwest China. As of the end of last year, the local installed capacity of clean energy exceeded 50 million kilowatts, and the demand for external power transmission continued to grow.

The newly built ultra-high voltage line starts from Liangshan, passes through Yibin to Leshan, and then connects to the existing Sichuan Chongqing ultra-high voltage power grid through Tianfu South Substation. The total length of the line is 994 kilometers. After the project is put into operation, it will provide strong support for the construction of a new power system, enhance the country's ability to optimize the allocation of power resources, and assist in the high-quality development of the Chengdu Chongqing economic circle.Editor/Gong Ziwei
