On May 31, 2022, the world's first integrated construction of the world's first integrated LNG modular plant, the heaviest core process module A1EC, was successfully delivered at the Qingdao Construction Base of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. So far, the Canadian LNG project has successfully delivered 10 modules and completed the capping of all module structures. At present, the overall construction progress has exceeded 80%, laying a solid foundation for the project to be delivered on time.

According to Zhuang Hongchang, the Canadian LNG project manager, the A1EC module delivered this time consists of four main decks, 78 meters long and 46 meters wide. The deck area is equivalent to the size of 9 basketball courts, with a height of 50 meters and a height of nearly 18 floors. The weight of the module is nearly 10,000 tons, which is the heaviest LNG core process module delivered by COOEC Qingdao Construction Base so far. The A1EC module is mainly responsible for the dehydration and mercury removal of raw gas pretreatment, and is an extremely important module in the entire LNG plant. The module contains a total of 5 large-scale equipment, the height of a single equipment is nearly 20 meters, and the installation level and standard accuracy are controlled within 3 mm, reaching the leading level of static equipment installation in the industry.

The Canadian LNG project is the largest energy investment project in Canadian history. It plans to build 4 production lines, of which the first phase of the project plans to build 2 production lines with an annual output of 13 million tons. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will supply high-quality liquefied natural gas to the Asian region, which is conducive to the diversification of China's natural gas import channels.

It is reported that there are also 4 pipe gallery modules delivered in the same batch as the A1EC module, which will be transported by the large semi-submersible vessel Xianghe to the Canadian project site 5,000 nautical miles away.Editor/Ma Xue
