On September 12, 2022, the main bridge of Xiang'an Bridge built by Xiamen Road and Bridge Group successfully closed. Xiang'an Bridge is one of the important cross-sea passages in Xiamen's transportation network planning for entering and leaving the island. Bridge Overview
The project starts from the intersection of Fangzhong Road and Jinshang Road in the west, crosses the sea area east of Xiamen with a continuous beam bridge in the east, and ends at Xiang'an Avenue. An side is about 4.8 kilometers. The bridge is a single-width variable-height variable-section continuous girder bridge. The main line is constructed according to the standard of a two-way 8-lane expressway, with a design speed of 80 km/h and a design service life of 100 years.

The Xiang'an Bridge project integrates marine and urban construction environments and bridge and tunnel construction techniques. The sea-crossing section of Xiang'an Bridge is about 4.5 kilometers, of which 3.3 kilometers and 35 holes are prefabricated. There are 83 piers and 36 steel box girders. The maximum lifting weight of a single pier and abutment is 2600 tons, and the standard hole span of steel box girder is 90 The 150-meter span of the navigation hole and the steel box girder is 108 meters long, 53.5 meters wide, and 3,300 tons maximum hoisting weight, which is rare in China and the first in Fujian Province.
At present, the Xiang'an Bridge Project has completed 3 invention patents, 19 utility model patents, and 2 provincial and ministerial construction methods.
After the project is completed, it will further improve the road network of the Haixi Economic Zone and the urban road network of Xiamen City, narrow the gap between inside and outside the island, and promote the integrated development of the regional economy on the west coast of the Taiwan Strait.Editor/Ma Xue
