On September 24, 2022, the candidates who won the bidding for the construction of the new Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway station front project were announced and released. The Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway project will officially start construction in October, with a planned construction period of 4.5 years.

Project Overview

The new Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway line has a total length of 250.91 kilometers. The line leads from the Chongqing hub and runs eastward along the Yangtze River through Banan, Fuling, Fengdu, Zhongxian and Wanzhou. Among them, Fuling North Station and Wanzhou North Station are existing stations. Chongqing East Station is under construction, Fengdu North Station and Zhongxian Station are newly built stations.

Planned construction period: 4.5 years, planned start date: October 31, 2022, planned completion date: April 30, 2027.

Zhongxian Liangchang is responsible for the prefabrication of 190-hole box girder in sections DK63+464~DK88+316, and the prefabrication of small components in sections DK56+136-DK88+316. Guantangxi Liangchang is responsible for the prefabrication of the 496-hole box girder in the DK93+185-DK131+367 section, and the small component prefabrication in the DK88+316-DK131+367 section. Lujiazhai Liangchang is responsible for the prefabrication of the 153-hole box girder in the DK141+706-DK150+434 section, and the prefabrication of the small components in the DK131+367-DK150+434 section. Xiaoguzhai Liangchang is responsible for the prefabrication of the 206-hole box girder in the DK151+184-DK182+835 section and the prefabrication of the small components in the DK150+434-DK182+835 section. CQWZZQ-6, the number of projects is: total length of 7.07km, including 4 single-track tunnels/7.25km, 4 single-track bridges of 2.56km, and roadbed 3.51km. The Fuling North Station Reconstruction Project and the Yuyi High-speed Railway were implemented simultaneously. Fuling North and Fengdu North sleeper factories are responsible for supplying the prefabrication of double-block sleepers for the entire line, and are responsible for the prefabrication of small components in DK182+835-DK186+450 sections. Fuling North Track Laying Base is responsible for the entire track laying project.
