On September 29, 2022, the bidding announcement of the total contract price of the speed and quality improvement project in Lanzhou to Xining section in Gansu Province was released. The project will officially start construction in November.

In March 2022, the construction of the high-speed quality improvement project in Qinghai Province has officially started, and the whole project is expected to reach speed by the end of 2023.

Conditions of the tender

Lanzhou to Xining Section speed Improvement Project has been approved by Gansu Provincial People's Government of China Railway Group on the Feasibility Study Report of Lanzhou to Xining section Speed Improvement Project (in Gansu Province). The construction unit is Lanxin Railway Ganqing Co., LTD. The construction fund is self-raised by Gansu Railway Investment and Construction Group Co., LTD. The project investment ratio is 100%. The fund has been implemented, the construction drawing design documents are complete, and the bidder is the Engineering Management Institute of China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group Co., LTD.

Project overview

Construction SITE: Speed and quality improvement project between Lanzhou West Railway Station of Lanxin Passenger College and the boundary of Gansu and Qinghai provinces, with a length of 71.1 km.

Construction scale: The project of Lanzhou-Xining section of Lanxin Passenger Railway which does not meet the current design specifications, standards and regulations of 250km/h high-speed railway shall be reconstructed to meet the standards. Meanwhile, the diseases affecting the quality improvement of the speed improvement shall be corrected, so that the train can run at 250km/h after the speed of this section.

Scope of bidding: subgrade, bridge and culvert, tunnel, track disease rectification, communication, signal, information, power, power traction power supply, housing and other operation and production equipment and building renovation and all other projects within the scope of construction drawings.
