At 13:20 on December 31, 2022, 75140 international freight trains carrying electronic components and other goods departed from Pingxiang Railway Station in Guangxi to Xi'an Railway International Port for assembly and transfer, and continued to Kazakhstan through the route of China Europe train. It is expected to arrive at the destination in 25 days.

The information provided by China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co., Ltd. shows that on July 27, 2021, the first Sino Vietnamese and Sino European joint train, "Vietnam China Belgium", will open smoothly. Over the past year, 47 interline trains and 2162 standard containers have been operated. The 75140 freight trains started at the same boarding station in Vietnam, entered China through Pingxiang Station in China, gathered at Xi'an International Port for transit, left China from Khorgos via the route of China Europe train, and finally arrived in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Liang Jianping, Manager of International Intermodal Transport Department of Nanning Branch of China Railway International Multimodal Transport Co., Ltd., introduced that most electronic components transported from Vietnam in the past were transported to Central Asian countries by sea. Due to the limitation of the exit plan, there are many uncertain factors about the time when the goods arrive at the destination, which generally takes about 50 days. Now, it can save more than half of the time to transport by railway through Pingxiang to Xi'an International Port for assembly and transit, and then to Kazakhstan through the route of China Europe train, effectively solving the transport problem of ASEAN countries connecting with Central Asian countries.

In order to improve the transport efficiency of China Vietnam and China Europe combined trains, Pingxiang Station formulated the train operation plan in advance, opened up a green channel, negotiated with Vietnam to formulate the best transport plan, declared the demand for inbound goods in time, and did a good job in joint inspection and cooperation.

According to Jiang Jing, the director of Pingxiang Railway Station, in 2022, the goods gathering places of the Sino Vietnamese trains will cover more than 20 cities inside and outside Guangxi, and the names of goods will expand from 205 last year to 248 industrial machinery and local specialties. Following the "Nanning Pingxiang" line, the new "Liuzhou Tongdeng" line will be opened in April this year, and the speed of the Sino Vietnamese trains will be increased to "half a day" in June 2022. From January to December 30, 2022, a total of 1084 pairs of entry-exit cross-border trains will be operated at Pingxiang Station, an increase of 132 pairs compared with 2021, with a year-on-year growth of 13.9%. The inbound and outbound goods totaled 788,000 tons, an increase of 41% year on year in 2021.

The opening of the new "Vietnam China Kazakhstan" line of the China Vietnam and China EU joint train has further improved the ASEAN international freight transport network, greatly shortened the freight transport time, improved the transport efficiency, and expanded the radiation and international influence of Guangxi international trains in Asia, Europe and Southeast Asia.Editor/Xing Wentao
