[Guizhou Section of Huangtong-Baise Railway is about to start construction] On March 20, 2023, the bidding announcement for the construction drawing review of the Guizhou section of the newly-built Huangtong-Baise Railway was officially released. The project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in early March and is expected to officially start construction within this year. The Huangtong-Baise Railway is located in Anshun City, Liupanshui City, Qianxinan Prefecture and Baise City in Guangxi Province in the southwest of Guizhou Province. The Guizhou section of the Huangtong-Baise Railway is drawn from the Guiyang end of the Huangtong Station of the Shanghai-Kunming Railway. After passing through the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway in the south, Zhenning Station is set up near Ketian Village on the west side of Zhenning County. Set up Ziyun Station near Xingfuyuan Village, pass through the Baishiyan Tunnel, set up the Yangjiahe Super Bridge to cross the Huahua Trough Valley, pass through Jiaodong, Bianrao, Shitun, and pass through the Dayi Tunnel to Xiangle Village on the northeast side of Wangmo County Set up Wangmo Passenger Station, set up Daguan Cargo Station after passing through the Dashao Tunnel, cross the Dayunshan Tunnel to Angwu, cross the Hongshui River and enter Guangxi. The total length of the line is 314.6 kilometers, of which 302.9 kilometers are the newly built main line, and 11.7 kilometers of the second line is built on the Yongle-Baise section of the Nankun Railway. The construction length of the main line in Guizhou is 173.838km, and the length of the detachment line at Huangtong Station is 2.876km. The construction standard is a newly built single-track electrified railway according to the National Railway Class I, and the design speed is 160 km/h. In the near future, 18 stations will be set up, 10 stations will be reserved, and the conditions for the construction of the connection line from Guiyang to Huangbai Railway will be reserved in the Huangtong area.
