[Wenzhou Regional Railway S3 Line Phase I Project Started] On March 27, 2023, the first phase of the S3 Line of the Wenzhou Regional Railway in Zhejiang Province started construction as scheduled. According to reports, the total investment of the first phase of the Wenzhou Regional Railway S3 Line is 16.292 billion yuan. It starts from Wutian Station in Ouhai District, Wenzhou in the north, passes through Nanbaixiang, Xianyan, and Tangxia, and ends at Feiyun Station in Ruian City. The entire line is 33.2 kilometers long. There are 11 stations in total, with a maximum operating speed of 120 km/h. It is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2027. Among them, the S1 line has been completed and opened to traffic in 2019, and the S2 line is planned to be completed in 2023. The S3 line, the S1 line, and the S2 line together form a city-wide railway backbone network with a total scale of 150 kilometers, and the network benefits have initially appeared. This is the last line planned for Wenzhou's urban railway backbone network. After completion, together with the S1 and S2 lines, it will form a city-wide railway backbone network with a total scale of 150 kilometers.
