[Mauritania launched a large-scale renewable energy hydrogen storage project]Denmark's GreenGo has launched the Megaton Moon project in Mauritania, a 60 GW solar-wind power facility equipped with 35 GW of green hydrogen capacity. The project developer submitted a development application to the Mauritanian Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines this week. The Megaton Moon project will be built in several phases, with the initial pilot phase expected to be completed in 2028 and the final phase to be completed between 2033 and 2035. In addition, the project will generate more than 70 million tons of desalinated water per year, which will be three times the amount of water consumed by the Megaton facility to produce green hydrogen itself. GreenGo said the project will also use more than 10 TWh of surplus energy to promote the development of large-scale agricultural industries and local supply chains in the desert region. "Developing a project of this scale requires close cooperation with the supply chain and purchasers," said Anders Heine Jensen, CEO of GreenGo. "The scale of the project will attract manufacturers to produce photovoltaic panels, wind turbine blades and electrolytic components locally. We are currently negotiating a Memorandum of Agreement with the manufacturer." Editor/Xu Shengpeng
Recently, the construction permit application for Xuchuan Chemical's annual production of 60000 tons of polyurethane new materials project was completed in Taicang Port Area, and the certificate was obtained that evening, and full construction began. As a national level specialized and innovative small giant enterprise, Xuchuan is deeply involved in the polyurethane field, with products covering elastomers, adhesives, advanced composite materials, etc., widely used in home furnishings, automobiles, electronics and other fields. The investment of 380 million yuan in this new project is expected to increase the annual production value by over 1.1 billion yuan after reaching its production capacity. Editor/Cheng Liting
On July 10, 2026, Xinjie Electric signed a contract with Wuxi for a 5.08 billion yuan embodied intelligence and high-end equipment core component project, focusing on direct drive systems, frameless motors and encoders for humanoid robots. The next day, Longsheng Weirui's 200 million yuan embodied intelligent robot innovation center started construction, positioning itself as a long-term carrier of Jiangsu Province's innovation center, focusing on the research and development of industrial scene humanoid robot body and key components. Two projects have been implemented before and after, and Wuxi has completed the preliminary layout from core components to the entire machine platform within 48 hours, with a clear intention to seize the high ground of embodied intelligence industry.
