On February 1, 2024, the second phase of the Jujing University project in Cambodia, which was aided by China, officially began construction. The project was launched on January 31st and received a warm welcome and sincere gratitude from Cambodian government officials. They believe that this project will not only inject new vitality into the local education industry, but also provide strong impetus for economic development.

At the groundbreaking ceremony attended by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia, Du Visaso, he stated that China has long been paying attention to and supporting Cambodia's development. The expansion of Kratie University this time is a strong support for Cambodia's Five Corners Strategy and the one province, one university policy. The completion of this project will inject new vitality into the education and economic development of Kratie Province and even the entire northeastern region of Cambodia.

Zhong Jie, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia, stated that Jujing University is one of the iconic projects of China's free aid in Cambodia. It is located in the northeast of Cambodia and is the first public comprehensive university in the region. The completion of this project fills the gap in higher education in the northeastern region of Cambodia and provides strong support for improving the national education system and infrastructure construction in Cambodia. The first phase of the Jujing University project includes facilities such as office buildings, teaching buildings, experimental buildings, tiered classrooms, and libraries, which were officially put into use in April 2018. The second phase of the project, which will start construction, will include the construction of new teacher and student dormitories, the provision of some experimental equipment, and the construction of a campus drainage system, aiming to further improve the overall environment and facilities of the school.
