On March 26, 2024, the Shenzhen International Logistics Port Hainan Heli Logistics Park located in Yangpu Economic Development Zone officially opened. This project is jointly invested and constructed by Shenzhen Shenzhen International Bay Area Investment and Development Co., Ltd. and Hainan Cambridge Real Estate Co., Ltd. It is currently the largest logistics park in Yangpu.

Port and shipping logistics is one of the three billion dollar industrial clusters being built in Yangpu, Danzhou. On July 28, 2023, Yangpu was selected as a port type national logistics hub and accelerated the construction of a port and shipping logistics industry zone, attracting multiple logistics projects to settle in. The Shenzhen International Logistics Port Hainan Heli Logistics Park project is one of them.

It is reported that the total investment of the project is about 600 million yuan, with a total construction area of 95000 square meters, including ramp storage, building warehouse, and comprehensive supporting facilities. The park relies on the pilot free trade port policy of Yangpu and plans to layout with VMI warehouse distribution, international trade logistics transit warehouse, e-commerce and duty-free commodity warehouse distribution functions, providing high-quality logistics infrastructure and supply chain solutions for customers in industries such as Hainan Port and Shipping Logistics, Petrochemical New Materials, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Cross border E-commerce.

In recent years, Danzhou has continuously deepened its comprehensive cooperation with Shenzhen, and has successively introduced large enterprises such as Shenzhen Yantian Port Group and Shennong Group to settle in. Key projects such as Yantian Port Danzhou Modern Logistics Center (Phase I) and Shendan Science and Technology Innovation Center have started construction. The Shenzhen Danzhou Agricultural Products Distribution Center, located in the Danzhou Modern Logistics Center (Phase I) of Yantian Port, was put into operation on March 13 this year. The first batch of 20000 kilograms of chili peppers planted in Danzhou were loaded onto trucks at the distribution center and transported to Shenzhen.

At the same time, the first direct route from Yangpu to Shenzhen was also opened in February this year, providing an efficient and convenient logistics channel for export goods such as pulp and paper, petrochemicals, coconut products, grain and oil produced locally in Hainan, reducing transportation costs for enterprises, further improving the route network of Hainan Free Trade Port, and enriching Hainan's import channels and commodity types.

It is understood that Yangpu has currently opened 46 domestic and foreign trade routes, with a cargo throughput of 58.0356 million tons and a container throughput of 1.8335 million TEUs in 2023. The first batch of 11 free trade port policies have been expanded from Yangpu Bonded Port Area to the entire Yangpu Economic Development Zone, continuously releasing policy dividends such as processing value-added domestic sales duty-free and "China Yangpu Port" ship registration port, providing strong support for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, the western land sea new channel, and the integrated development of Danyang.

At present, Danzhou is constructing a port and shipping logistics industry zone, accelerating the formation of an industrial layout of "Front Port (Port Terminal) - Middle Zone (Industrial Zone) - Back Park (Logistics Park)". In addition, the construction of transportation infrastructure projects such as the Yangpu International Container Hub Port and the Yangpu Shugang Expressway is accelerating. Projects such as the Yangpu Railway Branch Line, the Huanxin Yingwan Highway, and the Danzhou Western Airport are actively being promoted. This year, we will also open international shipping routes from Yangpu to Southeast Asia and South Asia.
