On March 29, 2024, the second major project in Huaihua City began construction in 2024, with 91 projects included in the province's centralized construction projects. Among them, the construction of the Huaihua Public Railway Intermodal Logistics Park project, which is under the responsibility of the Municipal Urban Development Group, has begun. It will accelerate the integrated development of Hezhong and the construction of Huaihua International Land Port, and write a new chapter for the in-depth implementation of the "Five New and Four Cities" strategy and the vigorous construction of a modern new Huaihua.

The Huaihua Public Railway Intermodal Logistics Park project is located in Yangtang Industrial Park, Hecheng High tech Zone, with a total land area of 450 acres and a total construction area of 135105 square meters. The main construction contents include a public railway intermodal warehouse, simple processing room, public warehouse, cold storage, comprehensive service building, yard, park information center, commercial and service room, road and site hardening, power supply and distribution, water supply and drainage, greening, fire protection, and other engineering. The total investment is 920 million yuan, and it is planned to be completed by 2026.

The construction of the project is of great significance for comprehensively improving the modern logistics service system of Huaihua, accelerating the integrated development of Hezhong, and actively assisting the construction of Huaihua International Land Port. After the completion of the project, it is expected that the annual operating income will not be less than 50 million yuan, and the annual tax revenue will be about 7 million yuan, which can stimulate about 600 employment opportunities.
