In the east of the world, a new railway dragon is rising, stretching across mountains and rivers, linking China with Indochina Peninsula. This dragon is the China-Laos Railway, a landmark project that embodies the wisdom and sweat of the Chinese and Lao peoples and showcases the fruits of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. Since its opening, it has carried the common dreams of the two peoples and constantly written new legends.

Over the past two years, the China-Laos Railway has made remarkable achievements in operation. It has sent an astonishing 25.07 million passengers in total, not only providing a convenient way for people along the route to travel, but also becoming a link between the hearts of the two peoples. At the same time, the volume of freight transported by railway also reached 30.1 million tons, injecting a strong impetus to regional economic and trade cooperation.

The construction and operation of the China-Laos railway not only witnessed the joint efforts and dreams of the two peoples, but also continued to write a new story of the Belt and Road cooperation and sharing. It shows the deep integration between China and Laos in infrastructure construction, economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges and other fields, laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of bilateral relations.

Today, the China-Laos railway has opened a new chapter in regional connectivity. It will continue to carry the friendship and hope between China and Laos and contribute more to the prosperity and development of the region. We believe that in the coming days, China-Laos Railway will continue to write a more brilliant chapter and become an important bridge connecting China with Southeast Asia and even the world.
