According to the person in charge of the freight department of China Railway Group, since the beginning of this year, the railway department has promoted the construction of the diversity of China-Europe railway channels and routes, further expanded the radiation scope of China-Europe railway, carried out the transportation test of China-Europe railway from Xi 'an, Chongqing, Yiwu to Poti, Georgia, and Istanbul, Turkey, and opened 6 China-Europe railway through the Nantong Road, an increase of 200%. New China-Europe freight train routes have been opened between Harbin and Tilburg in the Netherlands and between Shijiazhuang and Belgrade in Serbia, facilitating economic and trade exchanges between different parts of China and European countries.

In the first quarter, the railway department optimized the transportation organization of China-Europe railway trains, strengthened monitoring and control of the entire operation, strengthened communication and coordination with customs and border inspection departments, and improved the transportation capacity of ports and customs clearance facilitation. The traffic volume of the West (Alashankou, Khorgos), the Middle (Erlian) and the East passage (Manzhouli, Suifenhe and Tongjiangbei) increased by 8%, 14% and 8% respectively.

In addition, the service quality of China-Europe express trains continues to improve. The railway sector has steadily launched full-schedule China-Europe train services between Xi 'an and Duisburg in Germany and Chengdu and Lodz in Poland. The transport time has been significantly reduced compared with ordinary train services, with a total of 65 trains running in the first quarter.
