It was learned from State Grid Inner Mongolia Eastern Power Co., Ltd. that at 11:00 on April 10, Jiangsu Energy Wulagai Power Plant 500 kV project of Xilin Gol League in eastern Mongolia and 500 kV project of Huadian Baiyin Huajin Power Plant in Xilin Gol League in eastern Mongolia fully started construction in Xiwuqin Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. After the two projects are put into operation, Inner Mongolia can send 16.6 billion KWH of electricity to Jiangsu Province every year, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 6.6 million ordinary households.

The 500 kV transmission project of Jiangsu Energy Wulagai Power Plant in Xilin Gol League of Eastern Mongolia and the 500 kV transmission project of Huadian Baiyin Huajinshan Power Plant in Xilin Gol League of Eastern Mongolia are two supporting projects of the ±800 kV UHVDC transmission channel between Xilin Gol League and Taizhou. Among them, the new 500 kV transmission project of Jiangsu Energy Wulagai Power Plant of Xilin Gol League in Eastern Mongolia starts from Jiangsu Energy Wulagai Power Plant, passes Baiyinhua Switch station, and ends at Xilin Gol League converter station. The new 500 kV line is 750 kilometers and the tower is 1736 base. The 500 kV transmission project of Huadian Baiyin Huajinshan Power Plant in Xilin Gol League of Eastern Mongolia starts from Huadian Baiyin Huajinshan Power Plant and ends at Baiyin Hua Switch Station. The new 500 kV line is 53 kilometers and the tower is 126 base.

Both projects are located in Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia, with a total dynamic investment of 2.419 billion yuan. After the project is put into operation, it will further improve the transmission efficiency of Xilin Gol League - Taizhou UHV DC transmission channel, meet the needs of Jiangsu power grid load growth, and promote Inner Mongolia's energy advantages into economic advantages, which is conducive to realizing the complementary resource advantages between provinces and regions and enhancing energy supply capacity.
