Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported on April 8 that the construction of the second and third phase of the Bushehr nuclear power plant in Iran is in full swing. In a recent interview, Masoud Nasouri, the project's core engineer, detailed the construction of two new nuclear power plants in Bushehr province. He excitedly said that the two new nuclear power plants are under construction near the Bushehr Nuclear power plant Unit 1, each with a strong installed capacity of 1,057 megawatts.

Nasuri further explained that the construction of the two nuclear power plants is not only a major breakthrough in Iran's energy field, but also an important step for the country to become a nuclear power. He stressed that the construction of the new nuclear power plant uses the most advanced technology and equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of the nuclear power plant. At the same time, he also revealed that in order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the workers involved in the construction have been working around the clock in three shifts, showing a high level of professionalism and dedication.

For the completion of the two new nuclear power plants, Nasuri is full of expectations. He said that once the construction is completed, Iran's installed nuclear power capacity will make a qualitative leap to 3,000 megawatts. This will greatly ease the pressure on Iran's electricity demand and provide a strong support for the country's economic development. At the same time, nuclear power, as a clean and efficient form of energy, will also help Iran reduce its dependence on traditional energy sources and promote the optimization and upgrading of the energy structure.

It is worth mentioning that Iran's development in the field of nuclear energy has been attracting international attention. As a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Iran has maintained close cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and is committed to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. Despite many challenges and sanctions from the international community, Iran remains firmly on the path of nuclear energy development. The construction of two new nuclear power plants is undoubtedly another major achievement in the field of nuclear energy in Iran.

Looking ahead, Iran's nuclear energy industry will continue to flourish. With the continuous progress of technology and the continuous upgrading of equipment, Iran's installed nuclear power capacity is expected to achieve greater breakthroughs in the future. At the same time, Iran will continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the international community to jointly promote the peaceful use and development of the global nuclear energy industry.
