Local governments accelerated the construction of major projects, actively expanded effective investment, and promoted high-quality economic development. Promoting the implementation of new quality productivity is the focus of local project construction. Recently, the second batch of 415 major projects in Anhui Province began, and 60% of these projects come from the field of emerging industries, involving new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, advanced photovoltaic and new energy storage. In Beijing Huairou Science City, the main building of China's first high energy synchrotron radiation light source project, which lasted 5 years, has been basically completed, and the installation and commissioning of scientific instruments are being carried out. Viewed from the air, this big science installation acts like a magnifying glass, helping scientists probe deeper into the microstructure of matter by emitting light a trillion times brighter than the sun.

In various regions, a number of key construction projects such as transportation and water conservancy are also being pushed forward. The construction site of Shanghai East Railway Station project is busy with tower cranes. The Shanghai East Railway Station project is located in Pudong New Area, connected with high-speed rail, urban railway, and Pudong International Airport, to better serve and promote the integrated high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta. In Nantong, Jiangsu Province, on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, construction is under way on the Haimen Passage connecting Nantong and Taicang, Suzhou. The passage is a combined highway and railway passage with a total length of about 39 kilometers, which is expected to further promote the integrated development of urban agglomeration along the river after completion in 2028.

At the concrete pouring site of Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy project in Aksu, southern Xinjiang, more than 300 construction workers are pouring and binding steel bars on the slope. The Dashixia Water project, which integrates irrigation, flood control and power generation, is scheduled to be completed in October 2026. By then, it will alleviate the spring drought and water shortage problem of more than 8 million mu of farmland along the coast and meet the ecological water supply demand of the Tarim River main stream. In Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, the construction of relevant venues for the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025 has been fully launched, and the upgraded and renovated ice hockey venues are expected to have test conditions before the end of September this year.
