On April 12, 2024, He Zhenwei, President of a Chinese Association, personally went to the Belarusian Embassy in China and held an in-depth exchange and talks with Ambassador Cherviakov on bilateral cooperation. The talks are aimed at further promoting friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and exploring more opportunities for cooperation.

President He Zhenwei pointed out that the China Maritime Association has always focused on providing all-round services for Chinese enterprises to invest overseas, and has established solid friendly and cooperative relations with Belarus in particular, which has played a positive role in promoting investment and economic cooperation between the two countries. He further mentioned that the China Maritime Association will hold the grand 14th China Foreign Investment Cooperation Fair from May 27 to 28, 2024, and he sincerely invited Ambassador Cherviakov and relevant Belarusian departments to attend the event. He Zhenwei stressed that the China Maritime Association will do its best to make arrangements and service guarantees, so as to promote more member companies to invest in Belarus and contribute to the economic cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Cherviakov said that Belarus has always been a firm supporter and active participant of the Belt and Road Initiative. They highly appreciated and agreed with the eight actions proposed by China to promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. The economic and trade relations between Belarus and China have become increasingly close, the areas of cooperation have been continuously expanded and the degree of cooperation has been continuously deepened. In recent years, bilateral relations and practical cooperation between Belarus and China have been increasingly strengthened, and more and more Chinese enterprises have chosen to invest and carry out economic and trade activities in Belarus. Belarus is willing to make full use of such platforms as the China-Belarus Economic, trade and Investment Cooperation Forum to help Chinese enterprises better explore the Belarusian market and make positive contributions to the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation between Belarus and China.

 This will bring more development opportunities and economic benefits to the two countries and further promote the prosperity and development of bilateral economic and trade relations. The talks are conducive to firmly supporting each other's core interests.
