The blue book shows that the construction of nuclear power units in China is progressing steadily. In 2023, China will approve five new nuclear power projects and start five new nuclear power units. Up to now, China has 26 nuclear power units under construction, with a total installed capacity of 30.3 million kilowatts, continuing to maintain the world's first.

China's nuclear power generation continues to grow, reaching 433.371 billion KWH in 2023, ranking second in the world. Compared with coal-fired power generation, China's nuclear power generation in 2023 is equivalent to reducing the burning of standard coal by more than 130 million tons.

At the same time, China's nuclear power safety operation also continues to maintain the international advanced level, in 2023, China has 33 units in the world nuclear power Operators Association comprehensive index reached full score, this index reflects the nuclear power units in the power generation capacity, safety performance and other aspects of the comprehensive level, China's nuclear power units full score ratio is higher than the United States, Russia and other major nuclear power countries.
