Recently, the Laoling Tunnel of the Baishan to Linjiang Expressway BLTJ03 working area contracted by Jigao Road Construction started smoothly, marking the official opening of the construction of the first tunnel project of Bailin Expressway, laying a solid foundation for the smooth realization of the overall project period.

The Laoling Tunnel is located in the high mountains at the junction of Baishan and Linjiang. Its left line starts from LK102+700 to LK104+991, with a total length of 2291 meters. The right line runs from K102+776 to K104+992, with a total length of 2216 meters. Due to the complex geological conditions of the tunnel, the proportion of Ⅳ and Ⅴ surrounding rocks is as high as 71%, and the construction risk is high and the technical difficulty is great. There are 6 pedestrian tunnels and 2 vehicular tunnels in the tunnel, and the entrance and exit are designed with end wall type and bamboo cutting type respectively, which fully demonstrates the fine and ingenious engineering design.

The completion of the Baishan to Linjiang Expressway will open up a new high-speed transportation channel for Jilin Province to the border port of China and North Korea, and completely end the history of Linjiang City without high speed. The highway will not only greatly promote the economic exchanges and cooperation between the province and the surrounding areas, but also inject new vitality into strengthening the defense and promoting the industrial development of the border areas. Its construction is not only an extension of a transportation line, but also an important milestone in regional economic development and the improvement of people's livelihood.
