On the sunny earth of Uzbekistan, a landmark project has just come to an end. Recently, the high-profile Samarkand photovoltaic project in Uzbekistan has been successfully completed. This major project, undertaken by China State Construction's subsidiary China Construction Fifth Bureau, once again demonstrates China's construction strength in the field of new energy.

The project covers a staggering 5.2 million square meters, an area roughly equivalent to 728 standard football pitches. Such a grand scale is not only remarkable, but also reflects the depth of cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the field of renewable energy.

The core of the project includes a key 220KV booster station and a 253MW PV field. The construction of both parts has adopted the most advanced technology and strict quality standards to ensure the stability and efficiency of the project. The design and construction of the booster station took into account the characteristics and needs of the local power grid, while the photovoltaic field selected high-performance photovoltaic panels to maximize the conversion efficiency of solar energy.

When completed, the project is expected to generate more than 3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per day, a figure that will undoubtedly give a huge boost to Uzbekistan's energy supply. More importantly, this new supply of clean energy will effectively alleviate the long-term shortage of local electricity, reduce dependence on traditional energy sources, and contribute to environmental protection.

In addition, the successful operation of the Samarkand photovoltaic project not only has a profound impact on the adjustment of Uzbekistan's energy structure, but also has a positive role in promoting its economic transformation and industrial upgrading. This project will undoubtedly inject new vitality into the economic and social development of the country.

It is worth mentioning that the project is also one of the important practices of green development under the Belt and Road Initiative. By utilizing renewable energy sources, the project not only contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but also promotes sustainable development in the countries along the route. This fully demonstrates China's responsibility and responsibility in global environmental governance and provides new ideas and models for future international cooperation.

The successful completion of this project is not only a major achievement of the cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the field of energy, but also a concrete manifestation of the concept of green development along the Belt and Road. The successful implementation of this project will bring new impetus and opportunities to the sustainable development of the two countries and even the whole world. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
