[Beijing new rail transit line R4 north section planning]On April 29, it was learned that the latest planning of the northern section of the first phase of Beijing Rail Line R4 was finally unveiled, and this new line with a length of about 21 kilometers will start from Chaoyang District, pass through Tongzhou District, and finally arrive at Yanjing Bridge station in Shunyi District, which is expected to achieve seamless connection with Line 3. The appearance of Yanjing Bridge station has undoubtedly brought traffic Gospel to the surrounding residents, and the vehicle base is also planned to be built in Zhuangtou Village, north of Shunyi City. The plan aims to enhance the attractiveness of rail transit throughout the region, especially for the Capital Airport, which will effectively increase the proportion of green trips for landside transport. In addition, the new route will also support the construction of key functional areas in Beijing, such as the Sino-German Industrial Park, and guide the regions along the route to a new stage of high-standard development. It is worth mentioning that the design highlight of the northern section of the first phase of the R4 line is its fast and convenient operation mode, the initial use of 4 Type A vehicles, and the long-term plan will be upgraded to 6 vehicles, with a maximum operating speed of 120 km/h. The line will run through major thoroughfares such as Dongba Street and the second Airport Expressway, while the five new stations will adopt the latest design standards, which is expected to greatly improve the travel efficiency of residents along the line.
