COSCO Shipping Port has taken an important step in the first phase of the Qiankai Port project in Peru. The first batch of five technologically advanced double cantilever automated track cranes have been fully loaded and ready to be shipped to their destination.

Peru's Qiankai Port is an important emerging port along the Pacific coast of South America, belonging to a natural deep-water port. The first phase of the project includes the construction of 2 container berths, 1 general berth, and 1 multi-purpose berth. The total length of the coastline is 1500 meters, equipped with 6 remote-controlled shore bridges, 15 automated track bridges, and 6 gantry cranes. The maximum reliable berthing operation of the port is 200000 ton container ships.

COSCO Shipping Port Qiankai Port in Peru is a large comprehensive green port. Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry provides 6 remote-controlled quay cranes, 15 double cantilever automated track cranes, 3 bulk cargo gantry cranes, and 3 multi-purpose gantry cranes for the first phase of the project. The product diversity perfectly meets the needs of users. The project officially started construction in early August 2023 and is an ultra short cycle project. The rated lifting capacity of the rail crane in this project is 41 tons, with a span of 31 meters and a lifting height of 18.5 meters. It is equipped with advanced equipment management systems, video systems, intelligent recognition systems, situation monitoring systems, etc., providing strong support for the automation and intelligent operation of the dock. After the equipment is put into operation, it will significantly improve the operational efficiency of the user terminal.

The project plans to construct two container berths, one universal berth, and one multi-purpose berth, with a total length of 1500 meters of shoreline providing stable berthing conditions for various large ships. In order to meet the increasing demand for cargo throughput, the project is equipped with six remote-controlled quay cranes, fifteen automated rail cranes, and six gantry cranes. These advanced equipment will greatly improve the operational efficiency and intelligence level of the port.
