The reporter learned from the Three Gorges Group on May 4 that with the production data of the world's single capacity of the largest power of one million kilowatts of water turbine generator set sent to the industrial Internet platform, the construction of the industrial Internet platform at the station level of Baihetan Hydropower station on the Jinsha River has achieved phased results. At this point, the Industrial Internet platform has been deployed in all six cascade hydropower stations on the Yangtze River main stream, and the world's largest clean energy corridor "industrial brain" has been basically completed.
The Industrial Internet is a new industrial ecology, key infrastructure and new application model with the deep integration of the new generation of information and communication technology and the industrial economy.
Since 2020, China Changjiang Power Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Changjiang Power), a subsidiary of the Three Gorges Corporation, has launched the construction of an "industrial brain" along the world's largest clean energy corridor. This move aims to deeply enable intelligent operation and maintenance, intelligent maintenance, intelligent scheduling, intelligent decision-making and other business scenarios, comprehensively improve the level of intelligent equipment operation and maintenance, and help the digital construction of a new generation of hydropower stations.

"The operation and scheduling of the giant power station group in the Yangtze River Basin involves multiple links of" water, machinery and electricity ", which is huge in scale, changeable in time and space, cross-region and cross-network, and complex in structure. In the context of accelerating the construction of a new power system, the cascade hydropower station in the basin assumes both peak load and base load, which puts forward higher requirements for the safe and stable operation of hydropower in a long period." Tang Zhengyang, deputy director of the Yangtze Power Science and Technology Research Center, said that the global collaborative optimization of the six cascade power stations is a world-class problem, so it is necessary to rely on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data models to establish hydropower "industrial brain".
At present, this hydropower "industrial brain" has been trained and developed a number of "sub-brains" such as watershed intelligent operation, intelligent early warning, diagnostic decision-making, condition maintenance, and economic operation, and has been applied in six watershed cascade power stations. Taking the Three Gorges Power Station as an example, the hydropower intelligent early warning "sub-brain" has established a multi-strategy intelligent early warning system, which can detect problems before the turning point of equipment deterioration, and the early warning time is 7-30 days ahead of the traditional threshold alarm. With its support, operation and maintenance personnel can timely deal with the problems and defects of the equipment, and the service life of the unit is also extended.

"After the application of 'industrial brain' in the watershed power station group, the operation efficiency, operation safety and reliability of the power station have been greatly improved, the operation cost of the watershed power station has been reduced, and the intelligent application development cycle has been greatly shortened." "Based on this, we will continue to explore the digital transformation of hydropower and accelerate the realization of the blueprint for smart hydropower," said Li Youping, director of the Changjiang Electric Power Science and Technology Research Center.
