On May 10, President Mirziyoyev approved an agreement to build two wind farms in Samarkand and Jizak regions with a total installed capacity of 500MW.

On January 25, 2024, during President Mirziyoyev's official visit to China, Uzbekistan signed an investment agreement for a 500MW wind power project with UniversalEnergy of China.

According to the agreement, the Ukrainian government will provide tax, land and financing support for the investment and construction of the wind power project, and cooperate with various departments of the country to promote the implementation of the project.

According to the plan, Huantai Energy will build two wind farms in Ukraine, each with a total installed capacity of 250MW. The total investment of the project is expected to be $500 million. According to previous reports, on October 16, 2023, on the eve of the third "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, Huantai Energy and Ukraine successfully signed a 500MW wind power project power purchase agreement. According to the agreement, the two sides will be denominated in renminbi.
