Recently, Shaanxi Transportation Control Construction Investment Management Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Transportation Control Municipal Road and Bridge Group successfully won the bid for the Xianyang Rainbow 1st Cross-Weihe River Bridge Engineering General Contracting (EPC) project. The winning consortium consists of Shaanxi Transportation Control Xianyang Transportation Construction Co., Ltd., Shaanxi Road and Bridge Composed of 6 units including the Group Co., Ltd., the contract value is as high as 1.155 billion yuan, indicating that the start of the project is just around the corner.

The Rainbow 1st Road Cross-Weihe River Bridge Project is not only a key infrastructure construction project in Xianyang City, but also a key project that connects the north and south banks of the Weihe River, relieves traffic pressure, and improves urban traffic operation efficiency. After the completion of the project, it will effectively alleviate traffic congestion at the Xianyang Bridge on the Wei River and the Qindu Bridge on the Wei River, open up a new "artery" for north-south traffic in Xianyang's central urban area, and further bring Xianyang's central urban area closer to Beiyuan New City and Fengwei New District. distance, promotes rapid regional economic development, and has a profound impact on promoting the integration process of Xixian.

It is reported that the main line of the Caihong 1st Road Bridge across the Weihe River is 1.6 kilometers long, of which the bridge part occupies 1.057 kilometers. The main line is designed to span Binhe West Road, Beihedi Road, Weihe River, Nanhedi Road, and Hedi Road auxiliary roads from north to south. The main bridge adopts a 450-meter steel arch bridge design with six lanes in two directions and a width of 40 meters to ensure rapid passage of vehicles. At the same time, the approach bridge section uses 607-meter steel box girders or ordinary concrete girders with a width of 16.5 meters to adapt to different traffic needs.

In addition, the bridge also has clover leaf ramps on the north and south sides, with a total length of approximately 1.62 kilometers, a width of 12.5 meters, and a design speed of 30 kilometers per hour to facilitate flexible entry and exit of vehicles. The bridge is also equipped with pedestrian stairways at both ends to provide citizens with safe and convenient walking access.

The project is scheduled to begin construction in May 2024, with an estimated design and construction period of 990 days.
