On May 22, 2024, Jiaxing Port District in Zhejiang ushered in a new batch of major green transportation breakthroughs, and 30 "upgraded" hydrogen energy collection cards of 49 tons were officially delivered for use. This batch of cards has a driving range of up to 420 kilometers per vehicle, which is 40% higher than the previous model, significantly improving the efficiency of logistics and environmental performance. With the commissioning of these new cards, the existing 80 hydrogen energy cards in the port are expected to reduce carbon emissions by up to 4,000 tons per year.

On the afternoon of the same day, Master Wang drove the new hydrogen energy heavy truck and queued up in front of the hydrogen refueling station of Pinghu Binhai Avenue, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, Sinopec. He excitedly said that after driving out of the port, just fill up the hydrogen in this hydrogen station, it is enough to easily complete the trip to Shanghai and back, full of power. Next, he will leave for Shanghai to unload the cargo, and then arrive in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, to complete another unloading task, and finally return to Jiaxing port area warehouse. The entire 'Jiaxing - Shanghai - Kunshan - Jiaxing' logistics transportation process of about 300 kilometers has achieved zero carbon emissions throughout the whole process.

Under the guidance of the "double carbon" goal, Sinopec Zhejiang Petroleum actively demonstrated the first to promote the construction of the Yangtze River Delta hydrogen high-speed green logistics route and build a green and low-carbon "Eastern hydrogen port" as its own responsibility. With a wide network layout in Zhejiang province, the company has strengthened the supply of hydrogen energy, and deeply participated in the development of hydrogen energy application scenarios such as hydrogen bus, heavy trucks, logistics, and ports, and is committed to the deep integration of hydrogen energy business and green transportation.

Among them, the Pinghu Binhai Avenue hydrogen refueling station in Jiaxing Port area is not only the first hydrogen refueling station using micro-pipe network technology in China, but also the first "five-in-one" comprehensive energy service station integrating wholesale, retail, hydrogenation, charging, convenience store and other functions in the Sinopec system. The station covers an area of 3,000 square meters, has a daily refueling capacity of more than 1,000 kg, and supports hydrogen refueling for 35Mpa and 70Mpa hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. At present, the station provides refueling service for more than 100 logistics heavy trucks and city buses every day, with a daily refueling capacity of nearly 1 ton, contributing to the development of green transportation in the Yangtze River Delta region.

As the core of the future clean and low-carbon energy system, hydrogen energy is leading the important direction of the global energy technology revolution. Up to now, Sinopec Zhejiang Petroleum has built a complete hydrogen energy network, successfully built 10 hydrogen refueling stations, and realized the "connecting points into lines" of the hydrogen energy corridor, so that hydrogen vehicles in the Shanghai-Ningbo - Jiaxing - Hangzhou region can run smoothly. This achievement not only greatly promoted the prosperity and development of hydrogen energy heavy truck logistics transportation in the Yangtze River Delta region, but also gave birth to a major artery of hydrogen energy logistics throughout the region. Since 2024, Zhejiang Petroleum has continued to deepen the innovation and application of hydrogen energy technology, constantly broaden the hydrogen energy application chain, and promote the diversified development of hydrogen energy scenarios, and its hydrogen sales have increased by as much as 51% year-on-year, showing a strong growth momentum of the hydrogen energy industry.
