On the afternoon of May 28, 2024, local time in Brazil, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles and the city of Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais State, Brazil, officially signed a major contract to supply 24 new subway trains. This milestone project marks CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles' continued contribution and deepening cooperation in the field of rail transit in Brazil.

Belo Horizonte is not only the capital of Minas Gerais State, but also the political, economic and cultural core of the state. In order to further improve the city's traffic efficiency and the quality of life of residents, the city of Belo decided to introduce 24 advanced subway trains and chose CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles as a partner.

This batch of subway trains has automatic driving functions and a running speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour, which will greatly improve the operational efficiency of Belo City's rail transit. According to the plan, these trains will serve the city's existing Line 1 and Line 2 under construction, effectively alleviating the growing traffic pressure in the local area.
