Recently, the Philippines is actively planning a large-scale transportation infrastructure project with a total value of up to 5.3 billion US dollars, aiming to improve the country's internal transportation network and promote economic development.
Among them, the Calabarzon region will be the main beneficiary of this plan and is expected to receive US$3.6 billion worth of investment in road and bridge projects. This budget is allocated by the Philippine Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) IV-A. The construction of the project will greatly promote the economic development of the region and improve inter-regional transportation efficiency.
Meanwhile, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) is also continuing to advance its $1.7 billion Pasig River Expressway PAREX project. Although construction work on this 19-kilometer route was once stalled, it is now gradually resuming. The completion of the project will significantly improve transportation connections within Metro Manila, especially connecting key business areas such as Bonifacio Global City, Ortigas Center and the Makati Business District.
It is expected that once the Pasig River Expressway is put into operation, it will effectively alleviate traffic congestion problems in Manila and its surrounding areas. Manila is a city known for serious traffic problems. The implementation of this project will provide citizens with a more convenient and efficient way to travel, further promoting the economic development and social progress of the Philippines.Editor/Cheng Ting
