On June 7, 2024, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "Promoting High-quality Development". Huang Zhiqiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Party Committee and Executive Vice Chairman of the Autonomous Region, said that in order to promote the transmission of green electricity, Inner Mongolia is promoting the construction of six 10 million kilowatt-level wind power and photovoltaic transmission bases with high standards, and concentrating on the development of wind power and photovoltaics in the three deserts of Kubuqi, Ulan Buh and Tengger, to deliver large-scale clean energy to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Yangtze River Delta.

In order to promote the local consumption of green electricity, Inner Mongolia has planned six scenarios and tailored new energy configuration policies, including source-grid-load-storage, wind-solar hydrogen production, park green power supply, self-owned power plant green power substitution, full self-generation and self-use, and thermal power flexibility transformation. In each scenario, the power generation side and the load side seek balance to achieve the maximum degree of self-consumption.

We insist on the development of the entire industrial chain, focusing on new energy development on one hand and equipment manufacturing on the other, focusing on building four 100 billion-level industrial clusters of wind power, photovoltaics, hydrogen energy, and energy storage, focusing on equipment manufacturing upstream, extending the development of green chemicals such as green hydrogen and green ammonia downstream, comprehensively attracting supercomputing and intelligent computing industries, helping the country's "East Data West Computing", and simultaneously developing high-end productive services such as R&D innovation and operation and maintenance services.Editor/Zhao E
