Recently, Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, received and awarded the 2023 International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People's Republic of China here to honor foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's scientific and technological development and modernization.

At the award ceremony, Ding Xuexiang, on behalf of the Chinese government, expressed warm congratulations to the 10 foreign experts who won the award, and thanked them for their long-term firm support and selfless dedication to China's science and technology. He emphasized that the contributions of these experts have not only promoted the rapid development of China's science and technology, but also made positive contributions to global scientific and technological progress and human welfare.

 Ding Xuexiang further expressed the hope that these award-winning experts can continue to deepen scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with China, jointly respond to global challenges, and work together to promote scientific and technological innovation so that the results of innovation can better benefit people of all countries.

Since the award was officially established in 1995, 146 foreign experts, 3 international organizations and 1 foreign organization have won this honor.
