On July 3, 2024, the reporter learned from Guangzhou Port Group that a "Hunan-Guangdong-Africa" railway-sea combined transport international full-course fixed-point train loaded with auto parts, silica and large machinery and equipment departed from Zhuzhou North Station and arrived at Nansha Port within 20 hours. It was sent to Malaysia, Indonesia and Latin America through scheduled routes. The smooth shipment of the train marks a new upgrade of the "Hunan-Guangdong-Africa" sea-rail combined transport channel service, further helping the vast number of inland enterprises to go to the world faster and better.

The departure point of this train, Guangzhou Port Nansha Port, is the closest international basic port to Hunan Province. It is located in the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The port area is seamlessly connected with the three-dimensional transportation network such as railways, highways and inland rivers. It has unique advantages in sea-rail combined transport. In terms of route distribution in the African shipping area, Nansha Port has the advantages of short transportation distance, low cost and fast timeliness.At present, the "Xiang-Guangdong-Africa" international full-course scheduled train for sea-rail transport has been launched on a weekly basis. A train can issue at least 41 containers and directly reach Guangzhou Nansha Port South Station via the Xiang-Guangdong railway network within 20 hours without stopping at other stations in the middle, which greatly improves the transportation time efficiency. Goods shipped by the "Xiang-Guangdong-Africa" train can reach Ho Chi Minh Port and Port Klang in 11 days, Jakarta Port in 12 days, Mombasa in 25 days, the Middle East in 20 days, and the European basic port in 40 days.

It is reported that the "Xiang-Guangdong-Africa" sea-rail transport channel is committed to building a railway freight channel to and from the port group of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with the "Xiang-Guangdong-Africa" train as the focus, Zhuzhou as the main assembly center, Hengyang and Chenzhou as the linkage, and Hunan Province and neighboring provinces. Gather foreign trade sources and radiate to international shipping routes including Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States. By providing customs clearance and delivery, overseas warehousing services, and supporting corresponding full-process logistics insurance, the problem of the "last mile" of goods going out to sea is solved, and the safety of goods and corporate rights and interests are fully guaranteed.

According to statistics, since its opening on September 15, 2021, the "Xiang-Guangdong-Africa" railway-sea transport channel has successfully launched special trains for the export of machinery and equipment, Zhuzhou Liling ceramics, complete vehicle and auto parts exports, and American Corning glass imports, with a total of more than 1,000 trains shipped.
