On March 6, 2026, the Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Big Data Development Bureau officially signed the "Framework Agreement on Cooperation and Joint Construction of the Digital New Land-Sea Corridor" in Nanning, jointly promoting the construction of the digital new land-sea corridor.
The agreement leverages Chongqing's position as the core carrier of the national strategic hinterland and the operational and organizational center of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the west, as well as Guangxi's geographical and functional advantages as a frontier window for opening up and cooperation with ASEAN, a bridgehead for economic and trade exchanges between China and ASEAN, and a maritime hub of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the west. It aims to deepen digital collaboration between the two regions, focusing on key areas such as digital infrastructure, regional computing power collaboration, data element market, digital industry development, and digital reform, to promote resource sharing, complementary advantages, and coordinated development. Digital technology is used to enhance the quality and efficiency of corridor construction, empowering upgrades.
This signing represents a concrete action by the big data authorities of both regions to implement national strategies and serve the construction of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the western region. Leveraging the cooperation agreement signed, both parties will accelerate the construction of digital corridors, promote the safe and efficient flow and optimized allocation of data elements, deepen cross-regional collaboration and synergy in the digital industry, and assist in the transformation and upgrading of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor from physical interconnection to digital empowerment and intelligent synergy.
