Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port, as one of the core port areas of "Two Collecting and Two Distributing" built by Fujian Province, is currently using technological innovation as the engine to accelerate the construction of smart ports.

Recently, Jiangyin Port District successfully implemented the remote automated loading and unloading operation transformation of the 13# traditional quayside crane, and successfully commissioned the 15th automated remote-controlled quayside crane. Two advanced remote-controlled quayside cranes were successfully put into operation.

According to reports, the automation transformation project of No. 13 quay crane is a comprehensive innovation. This transformation covers the transformation of new automation subsystems on a single machine, including ship scanning (SPSS), container positioning (CPS), optical recognition (OCR), etc., as well as the deployment of additional automation-related systems in the digital intelligence center, including operation assistance. System (OAS), Automation Management System (QMS), Crane Monitoring System (TCMS), etc. In addition, Jiangyin Port District has also completed the transformation of the communication between the quay crane and the remote control machine room to ensure seamless coordination between various systems.

After the renovation of the 13# quay crane, the operator can perform operations through remote control at the digital intelligence center. This not only significantly improves the operator's working environment, reduces labor intensity, but also makes the operation more standardized. The application of technologies such as multi-angle video signal collection, anti-collision detection, and AI identification of personnel in the operating area has greatly improved operating safety. The collaborative protection of software and hardware makes the production process more stable and controllable. This successful transformation case not only optimized resource allocation and improved the stability and safety of port operations, but also provided valuable experience and templates for the automation upgrade of other large-scale equipment in the port.

Since the 15th automated remote-controlled quay crane in Jiangyin Port Area was successfully launched on March 12 this year, after more than three months of careful debugging, it has now fully completed strict tests on the equipment's stand-alone function, durability, ship scanning system, etc. It was officially put into production at the end of June.

It is understood that compared with the traditional manually operated quay crane, the 15# automated remote control quay crane integrates a ship scanning system, an intelligent tally system, a load positioning system, an automatic anti-sway and anti-twist system, a truck guidance system, and an operation video surveillance system. A number of other cutting-edge automation control technologies, combined with the port's Citos system, can not only operate automatically, automatically locate positions, and complete intelligent loading and unloading of container ships with high automation, but can also collaborate with traditional trucks to complete automated one-click pick-and-release operations. In the future, with the launch of unmanned trucks, landside operations will be fully automated without manual intervention.

This innovative measure is of great significance in improving the overall efficiency of operations, reducing labor costs, improving operation accuracy, and enhancing safety and reliability. It marks that the construction of smart ports in Jiangyin Port Area has entered a new stage, helping High-quality development of Fuzhou Port.Editor/Zhao E
