On August 1, 2024, Fujian Electric Power Construction Company signed a contract with the Philippines' Tera Photovoltaic Company for the world's largest single photovoltaic project - Tera Photovoltaic Project 500 kV transmission line project.

It is reported that the Terra Photovoltaic Project is invested and constructed by Manila Electric Power Company in the Philippines, located in the provinces of Riscia and Bukit Batok. It will build a 3.5 gigawatt solar power plant and a 4 gigawatt hour energy storage system, with an expected annual power generation of over 5 billion kilowatt hours, accounting for 5% of the total power generation and 12% of the total demand of the Philippines' power grid.

The EPC project covers the design, construction, and operation of photovoltaic areas, energy storage areas, booster stations, switch stations, and transmission lines. The company won the bid for the 500 kV transmission line project, which will significantly enhance the supply of renewable energy in the Philippines and provide more stable and sustainable power services for the local area. Keywords: the Belt and Road news, the Belt and Road project, overseas project.

Manila Power Company is the largest power supply company in the Philippines, and Terra Photovoltaic Company is its subsidiary, focusing on power generation, especially in the renewable energy business. This successful signing consolidates the company's leading position in the field of power transmission and transformation in the Philippines, and lays a solid foundation for fully opening up the market for renewable energy construction in the Philippines in the future.
