From April 17th to 24th, 2025, on the land of Nepal, an educational cooperation project that carries the profound friendship between China and Nepal reached an important milestone —— the project for the restoration of public schools in Sindhupalchok District, Nepal, aided by China, successfully passed the mid-term acceptance inspection. The acceptance inspection team was formidable. A professional team composed of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, and acceptance experts jointly carried out a comprehensive "physical examination" of the project. Xiong Zhen, the deputy general manager of the company, also participated in it.
During the acceptance inspection process, the expert group adopted rigorous methods such as on-site field testing, document verification, and special topic inquiries, leaving no detail unchecked. When reporting, the project leader candidly revealed the hardships behind the construction: due to the poor road conditions, the building materials had to be transshipped several times; the frequent arrival of the rainy season also brought many obstacles to the project progress. However, the project team was not defeated by the difficulties. Through PPT presentations and detailed data analysis, they comprehensively demonstrated to the expert group the remarkable achievements of the project in terms of technological innovation, contract performance, practical application, and other aspects.
The leader of the acceptance expert group gave a high evaluation in the review comments. He emphasized, "This project is a vivid interpretation of 'Chinese quality', and the selfless dedication spirit of the project management team is admirable. They carried out construction in the harsh mountainous environment and overcame numerous difficulties such as the transportation of materials, accumulating valuable project management experience for Nepal's post-disaster reconstruction projects." It is particularly worth mentioning that the Chinese management team, through the method of "mentoring and assisting", successfully trained more than 200 local construction workers, leaving a professional team that will always stay in Nepal.
Xia Xing, the deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of China, pointed out that this project is a vivid practice of implementing the Belt and Road Initiative's educational action plan. China will always adhere to the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, continuously assist Nepal in improving the level of educational infrastructure, and promote the educational cooperation between the two countries to a new height.
The successful passing of this mid-term acceptance inspection marks another fruitful achievement in the educational cooperation between China and Nepal. All the staff of the project department stated that they will continue to maintain high morale, go all out, and complete the remaining construction tasks of the project with guaranteed quality and quantity, adding another splendid chapter to the friendship between China and Nepal.
