Recently, Sun Xingjian, Chief Representative of the Representative Office of the Export-Import Bank of China in Northwest Africa, led a working group to Cameroon to inspect and provide guidance on the Water Supply Project in Nine Cities implemented by China Geo-Engineering Corporation Overseas, and paid a visit to Mr. Musa, General Manager of Cameroon Water Supply Company (CAMWATER).
During the inspection, the working group focused on investigating the Metchie Water Treatment Plant in Bafoussam and the water treatment plant in Dschang. They went deep into the construction site of the project, had in-depth exchanges with the project leaders, and expressed their regards to the employees who were fighting on the front line. Sun Xingjian pointed out that the Water Supply Project in Nine Cities in Cameroon is an important project to implement the practical measures of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. It plays a very important role in improving the living quality of local residents, reducing the spread of diseases, and promoting social and economic development. He required that China Geo-Engineering Corporation Overseas should complete the project on schedule under the premise of ensuring the quality, quantity and safety, so as to contribute to the China-Cameroon cooperation.
Lu Chunyu, General Manager of China Geo-Engineering Corporation Overseas in Cameroon, accompanied the inspection and extended a warm welcome to Sun Xingjian and his entourage. He pointed out that the first phase of the Water Supply Project in Nine Cities in Cameroon was completed and put into operation in 2017, achieving good social and economic benefits.
