On July 31, 2024, the world's highest integrated wind power and storage project: the Jitso 100MW wind power and energy storage integrated project officially started construction in Nagqu, Tibet.
The project is located in Nagqu Senyi District, Tibet. The wind turbines are constructed between 4,850 meters and 5,127 meters above sea level, with an average altitude of 5,000 meters. It is planned to build 18 wind turbines with a single capacity of 5.6 MW, with a total installed capacity of 100 MW. The supporting energy storage system can output 80,000 kWh of electricity for 4 consecutive hours.
In recent years, my country's clean energy construction has gradually moved towards ultra-high altitude areas, and the construction of batches of clean energy projects has been accelerated. The Jituo 100MW wind power and energy storage integrated project is planned to be fully completed and put into operation by the end of 2025.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
