On August 9, 2024, China Road and Bridge Corporation Hong Kong stood out in fierce competition and successfully won the bid for the T4 Main Road and related projects (also known as Route 4). The owner of this project is the Civil Engineering and Development Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, with a planned construction period of 55 months, demonstrating the scale and complexity of the project.

The project adopts a design and construction general contracting model, which means that China Road and Bridge Corporation Hong Kong is not only responsible for the construction of the project, but also needs to undertake design tasks, which requires the company to have strong comprehensive capabilities and technical strength. The main content of the project includes the construction of a 2.6-kilometer-long dual track T4 main road and supporting branch roads in the center of Sha Tin, as well as three key pedestrian bridges. These bridges and roads will effectively connect the Sha Tin City Gate Tunnel, Tsing Sha Highway, and Sha Tin Road, greatly optimizing the local transportation network.

The entire line is constructed in the form of elevated bridges and tunnels, which not only requires exquisite construction techniques, but also requires in-depth analysis and planning of the surrounding environment and traffic flow of the project. At the same time, the project will also expand an existing dual carriageway into a dual four carriageway to further enhance the road's capacity. Keywords: the Belt and Road news, the Belt and Road project, overseas project.

In addition to the main project, the project also includes a series of related ancillary works, such as the construction of retaining walls, the installation of sound barriers, the layout of water supply and drainage systems, the improvement of public facilities, the installation of lighting equipment, environmental beautification work, the configuration of mechanical and electrical systems, and the improvement of slopes. These ancillary projects are of great significance in improving the overall quality of roads, ensuring driving safety, and reducing environmental impact.
