Recently, the important preliminary work of the Sichuan section of the new railway Dacun to Zunyi line: the special research project on the preliminary elements of the feasibility study was officially announced, and China Railway Second Institute Engineering Group Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid with 2.53 million yuan, marking that the research work of the project has entered a substantive stage.

In June 2023, the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission took the lead in launching the preparation of the feasibility study report of the Guizhou section of the Xuyong-Zunyi railway, and achieved phased results, and the first draft of the feasibility study report has been successfully completed.

The Dacun-Zunyi Railway is located in Zunyi City, Guizhou Province and Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, starting from the north extension of the Wengma Railway in Zunyi City, south of the Gelaoba South Station, passing through Yaxi Town and Renhuai City, and ending at the Dacun Station of Xuda Railway in Dacun Town, Gulin County, Luzhou City. Later, the existing Syrian-University railway project 93.8km will be used to Xuyong North Station of the Longxu Line.

This project is the connecting line between the western passage and the middle passage of the western land-sea corridor, and is an integral part of the railway passage to the sea in the southwest region. It has been included in the national 14th Five-Year Railway Development Plan.

According to the tender announcement: the Sichuan section of the new railway Dacun to Zunyi line has been included in the "14th Five-Year Plan" for the development of modern comprehensive transportation system, and the pre-feasibility study report has been approved by Sichuan Shudao Railway Investment Group Co., Ltd. (formerly: Sichuan Railway Group Co., Ltd.), and the project is now open for bidding for the preliminary study of the preliminary elements of the feasibility study. The tenderer is Sichuan Xuda Railway Co., Ltd.

1. Location and scale: The Sichuan section of the project focuses on Gulin County, Luzhou City, and the line extends westward from Dacun Station of Xuda Railway, crossing Maoxi Industrial Park to the Sichuan-Guizhou provincial border, with a total length of about 40.487 kilometers. According to the high standard of construction, this section of the railway is designated as a Class II railway, designed to take into account the terrain conditions, the minimum curve radius is set at 1200 meters in the general section, and the difficult section is reduced to 800 meters, while the slope is limited to 13‰ to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

2. Bidding content: This bidding covers a number of key preliminary research topics for the new railway Dacun to Zunyi line (Sichuan section), including social stability risk analysis and assessment, application for administrative license in environmentally sensitive areas, safety pre-assessment, land use pre-examination, construction project planning and site selection, and the preparation of integration plans, etc., aiming to comprehensively evaluate and prepare various elements of the project promotion. In addition, it also includes related supporting services and the whole process support of the review work.

3. Time planning: The winning bidder shall efficiently complete all the above-mentioned preliminary research and review work within 45 calendar days after the contract is signed to ensure the smooth progress of the follow-up work of the project.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
