The Yichang high-speed railway project is advancing the preliminary preparatory work, aiming to accelerate the implementation and construction of the project. At present, the feasibility study report of the project has been completed and submitted to the relevant departments for review, marking a key step forward for the project. At the same time, the preliminary design work of the whole line is also in progress, and the preliminary design and testing stage is about to usher in acceptance, indicating the maturity and perfection of the design scheme.

In terms of the pre-design of the pre-topical elements, the Hunan section has taken the lead in launching the bidding for relevant thematic services at the end of May 2024, showing the active promotion of the project at the local level. Subsequently, Hubei Province also tendered for the safety assessment project of the section from Yidu to the provincial boundary and the expressway and national highway interchange at the end of August 2024, which further strengthened the safety assessment and planning rationality of the project and laid a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the project.

It is reported that the Yichang high-speed railway starts from Yichang City, Hubei Province, passes through Changyang, Yidu, Songzi and other places along the way, and then enters Hunan Province, passing through Li County and Linli, and finally arrives in Changde City. The high-speed rail line is designed to have a speed of up to 350 km/h, which will greatly shorten the time and space distance between cities along the line, promote the integrated development of regional economy, and improve the convenience and comfort of residents.
