On September 10, 2024, Miyang County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province ushered in the groundbreaking ceremony of Penghui Lihe Energy Storage Project, marking an important step in the county's new energy field. Li Jianchao, member of the Standing Committee of the Zhumadian Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, personally announced the official launch of the project, and the leaders of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, Penghui Energy and Miyang County gathered together to participate in the grand event.

Luo Shenghong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau, delivered an enthusiastic speech at the ceremony, he first expressed his sincere thanks to all parties who have given China Railway Construction Bridge Bureau support and help for a long time, and warmly congratulated the start of the project. They promise to regard the project as a window to show the strength and image of the enterprise, not only to set a benchmark in quality, but also to show excellence in environmental protection, compliance, efficiency, etc., fully inherit and carry forward the spirit of the railway soldiers, and ensure that the project is successfully completed on time and with quality.

As a new star in the field of new energy, Penghui Lihe Miyang Energy Storage Project has a construction scale of 200MW/400MWh and adopts advanced lithium iron phosphate battery technology. The project covers the construction of energy storage power station area, 220kV booster station and a number of supporting facilities, aiming to improve the flexibility and reliability of the power grid system through technological innovation. After the project is put into operation, it will effectively help the power grid to regulate peak and frequency, participate in spot trading in the power market, and provide value-added services such as capacity leasing for new energy investment enterprises, further promoting the transformation of traditional power grids to intelligent and green.

After the ceremony, Luo Shenghong was also invited to visit the battery production workshop of Henan Penghui Power Supply Co., Ltd., and had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the Penghui Energy team, and the two sides exchanged views on cooperation and development prospects in the field of new energy.
