On October 10, 2024, Yulin held the first batch of centralized construction activities for national and municipal water network pilot zones, with 107 projects under construction and a total investment of approximately 4.622 billion yuan. Among them, there are 100 water conservancy projects; There are 7 water conservancy projects, all of which are urban flood control and drainage projects.

The concentrated commencement of this project marks a wave of project breakthroughs in the construction of water networks in Yulin City, and plays an important driving and leading role in accelerating the implementation of the national and municipal water network pilot zone construction tasks in Yulin City. In July of this year, Yulin was successfully selected as a national and municipal water network pilot zone, becoming the first prefecture level city in Guangxi to be selected. Yulin City regards the construction of the national and municipal water network pilot zone as the first project, and has formulated a high standard water network plan. It plans to implement 635 water network infrastructure construction projects with a total investment of about 68 billion yuan, and complete 26.319 billion yuan by 2027. Following the overall strategy of external introduction and internal expansion, north-south connectivity, mutual assistance from multiple sources, and beautiful water in Yulin, Yulin City will implement it step by step, take the lead in trial, accelerate the construction of a number of water network backbone projects, and strive to achieve significant results in the construction of the pilot area within about 3 years, providing typical experience that can be referenced and promoted for the construction of the municipal water network.

Among them, the Yulin City Dinghuan North Guangxi Project, Yulin City Supporting Project, Longyun Modern Smart Irrigation Area Project, and Sanjiang Comprehensive Improvement Project are the six landmark projects.
