On September 23, 2024, an important milestone was reached at the construction site of the "Xinjiang Electric Power into Chongqing" ultra-high voltage transmission line located in Wujiayan, Longshi Town, Hechuan District, Chongqing. The first section of the conductor of the Hami to Chongqing ± 800 kV high-voltage direct current transmission line project was successfully lifted from the sky, marking a new stage of tense laying operations in the construction of the project in the Chongqing area.

The Hami to Chongqing ± 800 kV high-voltage direct current transmission line project is planned to be fully connected by December 2024 and have live conditions by May 2025.
