      A profound transformation concerning the future energy structure and ecological environment balance is quietly emerging in Shuozhou, Shanxi, a land with a long history. Recently, with the official launch of the national low-carbon green transformation research and development project, Shuozhou has taken firm steps towards transitioning to a low-carbon, green, and sustainable development model.

      In terms of clean and efficient utilization of coal, the project will explore advanced technologies such as coal classification and quality utilization, coal gasification, liquefaction, etc., to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of coal resources and reduce pollutant emissions. At the same time, actively promote the integrated development of coal and new energy, and build a diversified and clean energy supply system.

      In the field of new energy development and utilization, the project will focus on developing renewable energy industries such as wind power and photovoltaics, promoting the research and application of key technologies such as energy storage technology and smart grid, enhancing the consumption capacity of new energy, and promoting the optimization and adjustment of energy structure.

      In addition, the project will strengthen the research and application of carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies, explore carbon neutrality technology paths, and provide a "Chinese solution" for addressing global climate change. At the same time, emphasis is placed on ecological restoration and environmental protection work, and measures such as implementing ecological restoration projects and promoting green production and lifestyle are taken to promote the continuous improvement of the ecological environment quality in Shuozhou.
