[Yunwu Expressway Yunfu West Station opened] On September 28, 2024, Yunfu City celebrated its 30th anniversary as a city. At 16:00 on the same day, the Yunfu Wuzhou Expressway Yunfu West Interchange project, invested and constructed by Guangdong Transportation Group, was officially completed. The opening of Yunfu West Station served as a sub venue for the 30th anniversary celebration of Yunfu City's founding, presenting citizens with a gift package for smooth travel. The Yunwu Expressway Yunfu West Interchange Project is located on Gaofeng Street in Yuncheng District, with a total length of 1.04 kilometers. It has 5 ramps and a supporting Yunfu West Station, with 10 lanes of 4 in and 6 out. The entrance and exit are connected to Provincial Highway S368 (Yunliu Highway), mainly connecting Yuncheng District with the western area of Yunfu City. Previously, there was only one high-speed entrance and exit at Yunfu East Station in the central urban area of Yunfu. The opening of Yunfu West Station has achieved rapid connection between the expressway, Yuncheng District Industrial Park, and Provincial Highway S368, effectively alleviating the traffic pressure at Yunfu East Station during peak hours. It only takes 10 minutes for vehicles to travel from the central area of Yunfu to Yunfu West Station, providing convenient travel options for citizens to reach Yunan, Luoding, Guangzhou and other places. The project started construction on March 10, 2023, and was completed and opened to traffic as scheduled with the joint efforts of the local government and Guangdong Transportation Group.
